About me

My name is Reed Stillson and I want
to serve you as your next
District 3 Fulton County Commissioner

Service

“All that you touch, you change. All that you change, changes you.”
Octavia E. Butler

I’m no stranger to serving others. I’ve been working in the service industry since I was just 14 years old bussing tables at a surf and turf restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida. For nearly 2 decades since then, I’ve worked my way up through just about every job a restaurant has to offer. From Server to Cook, Bartender to Barista, and Team Lead to General Manager. Serving others is what I was meant to do, and I will continue to do so for as long as I’m able.

Collaboration

“We do not need a them in order to create a strong us.”
John Green

I believe one of our greatest strengths as a species is our ability to collaborate. To work together in order to solve whatever problem we face. I’ve worked hard to embody this in every job or organization I’ve been a part of. The most successful teams I’ve built or been on all had a strong emphasis on collaboration at their core, because when you’re running anything from a small local coffee shop up to a county government, teamwork is vital.

Leadership

“We’ve got to get on the same page before we can turn it.”
Heather McGhee

In my career I’ve hired, trained, promoted, and managed hundreds of employees. I’ve opened brand new locations, built teams from scratch, and I’ve been brought in to right my fair share of ships before they went under. I’ve always told my teams that I will never ask something of them that I’m not willing to do myself, because a true leader is someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
